These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Mapsake iOS app and this website (together, the "Service"), provided by Cole Jelinek ("we", "us"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

The app and your data

The app is local-first: your content is stored on your device and is your responsibility to back up. We provide export, backup, and restore tools, but we are not able to recover data that exists only on your device if it is lost. We don't operate a server that stores your travel data.

Acceptable use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and not to:

• misuse, probe, or attempt to disrupt the Service or its infrastructure;
• violate the terms of any third-party service you connect through the app.

Third-party services

The app can connect to third-party services (for example, to import your trips). Those services are operated by their respective owners under their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services, and connecting them is at your discretion. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by any third-party service referenced in the app.

Geographic & place data

The app uses open, publicly available map and place data for countries, borders, regions, and airports. This data may contain inaccuracies, omissions, or simplifications, and place names or boundaries do not represent any political position on our part.

No charge, no warranty

The app is provided free of charge, with no ads, subscriptions, or in-app purchases. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will be preserved.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the Service.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
