Is a radius the same as drive time?
No. A radius is straight-line surface distance. Roads, water, mountains, borders, and traffic can make travel distance and time very different.
What is a geodesic circle?
Its boundary points remain the chosen distance from the center along Earth's surface, even when the flat map projection makes the shape look stretched.
Is the searched location private?
Search text is sent only when you submit it to Mapsake's rate-limited geocoding proxy. Coordinates and search text are not sent to analytics. Map tiles are provided by OpenFreeMap.
